The Tropical Sea Star is located on nearly six acres of lushly maintained property. This property is one of the few that is a single family home, not an attached townhome.

First Level:
Walk into the fully equipped kitchen boasting stainless steel appliances and elegant granite countertops. Kitchen opens into the dining room that divides the living area. There is a half bath on this level.

French doors open onto the oversized covered back porch which provides peaceful canal views and features plenty of room for lounging in the sun or enjoying the ocean breeze.

Second Level:
Upstairs features a calm color scheme and comfortable bed linens. Master suite offers a king size bed, private bath, flat screen TV and a romantic private balcony.

To use their ramp $10 in and $10 out. Boat trailer storage is $25/day on site.

When it is time for you to check out, please stop by the Dockmaster’s office at Coral Lagoon (305-481-0653) or call the office to schedule a time to use the ramp. The crew will place your trailer down by the ramp so you can hook up and be ready to load the boat on your trailer. After you are loaded, you can pull forward and use a hose we provide to quickly flush your engines and rinse the brakes and axles.
Please note that if you plan to travel with a boat, we can only guarantee that one boat will be able to fit at the dock. For the avid fisherman, the 75 ft. dock has plenty of room to accommodate your boats and a convenient fish cleaning station. The dock can also accommodate a jet ski. There is also a dock ladder for your use. The canal all the way to the ocean has been dredged to 5′ at low tide (December 2018).

in the premier section of Morton Street. Enjoy memorable moments from our
breathtaking sunsets to observing birds, fish, and butterflies. The custom oversized 20 '
by 40' pool consists of a shallow entry for small children to play; while the seven-foot
depth area allows other family members to swim, play and lounge. An exhilarating
experience awaits when you are seated in the pool directly below the two overspilling spa
waterfalls. The pool is salt water chlorinated with LED night light. Relax in the large spa
that seats up to 8. Unwind and sunbath on the large pool deck in our cozy and comfy

At the base of the causeway, West Ocean Drive branches off first to the right and East Ocean Drive soon after branches to the left. On West Ocean Drive is the police station, along with the post office and town hall. In the same vicinity is a small park with a fountain and a gazebo. The entire ocean-facing side of West Ocean Drive is lined by various condominium complexes, while the side facing Marathon houses the Key Colony Inn and a small par-3 golf course. Starting at the far end of East Ocean Drive, streets are numbered one to fifteen east to west, and run from south to north toward Shelter Bay. Nicely Appointed and Conveniently Located Rental
We really enjoyed this home, and it worked very well for two families for a total of 9 people. We brought a boat, and it is conveniently located near a launch ramp (approximately 1 mile away) and bait/tackle store which was within walking distance. The neighborhood is very quiet and the home has been nicely updated and was very clean. The corner lot provided a good deal of privacy and plenty of space for docking. The main channel has a very stiff current at times, which can make docking a challenge for novice boaters/captains. All in all, we really enjoyed the stay and dealing with Lindsey was very effortless. The only issue we had was with the dishwasher. It was broken upon arrival and required 3 separate visits across three different days by the maintenance person to get it partially working.

We had an amazing stay. The house is in an excellent, quiet, convenient location. Being right on the water was so nice. We did a little fishing, were entertained watching the pelicans and boats, and saw a few manatee. The house has everything we needed. It was very clean and comfortable. Dealing with Lindsey and the property management was effortless. Thank you so much for another great VRBO experience.

The “Reel House at Sombrero” offers the rare opportunity to have it all for your next Keys vacation. You will have a luxury appointed private home with all the Fisherman’s amenities.
